Our Bears have been showing some amazing school spirit this week! 💙🧡 We loved seeing everyone representing their favorite teams yesterday and getting wonderfully wacky today! Check out some of the fun from Team Day and Wacky Wednesday! 📸
And now we're ready for the BIG day! 🎉 Parents and families are invited to join us tomorrow and cheer on our Bears during their scheduled run time. Check the graphic for your student's grade-level schedule.
💧 Don't forget the water bottle! Please send your Bear to school with a water bottle so they can stay hydrated throughout the day.
👕 And tomorrow is Blue & Orange Day! Students can wear their Mary Blount blue and orange or their Bear Run shirt!

🏀🏈⚽⚾ Tomorrow is TEAM DAY! Students are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team's colors or gear and show us their team spirit!
💰 BEAR RUN REMINDER: All Bear Run money and completed calendars are due tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1. Please send donations in an envelope with your student's name, along with their completed calendar.

Mary Blount basketball tryouts for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade boys and girls begin tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, and continue Wednesday, September 2, after school until 4:30 PM.

🐻💙💛 Mary Blount Safety Patrol is off to a great start! Our Safety Patrol students are doing a fantastic job helping keep traffic moving and our students safe each morning. We are so proud of our Bears! 💙💛🐻

Today, we completed our first active shooter/lockdown drill of the school year, and our students and staff did a fantastic job. Everyone responded calmly, followed our safety procedures, and took the drill seriously.
These drills are an important part of our ongoing efforts to prepare students and staff to respond appropriately in an emergency. We encourage you to talk with your child about today’s drill and give them an opportunity to share what they experienced, learned, or any questions they may have.
We are proud of how well our students and staff handled today’s drill and appreciate your continued partnership as we work together to keep our school safe.

🐻 A Little Unexpected Practice for Our Bears Today!
Parents and Guardians, this morning a student pulled the fire alarm. Our students and staff immediately followed our safety procedures and safely evacuated the building. The Blount County Fire Department responded, cleared the building, and everyone has returned inside. Everyone is safe, and our normal school day has resumed.
This is a great opportunity to talk with your Bear about fire safety! Ask them what they did when the alarm sounded and why it's important to listen carefully and follow directions during an emergency.
We're proud of our Bears and staff for doing such a great job, and we're thankful to the Blount County Fire Department for their response and assistance! 🐻💙🧡
