Mary Blount Elementary was established in 1988 and is the largest
elementary school in all of Blount County, serving approximately 600
students, PreK through 5th grade. Mary Blount is home to 44 classrooms,
including three CDC programs and one developmental PreK program. Mary
Blount also serves the ESL population for the south zone of Blount
County. Mary Blount was a Tennessee Reward School in 2020 and a Level 5
school in 2018 and 2021. Mary Blount is a feeder school of Union Grove
Middle and William Blount High schools. Our focus is on developing the
literacy and numeracy skills necessary for our students to achieve
academic excellence throughout our students' educational careers.
